Full-flake garage floor coatings

Turn bare, stained concrete into a tough, seamless floor that’s easy to clean and looks finished. We use professional, contractor-grade coating products, and because concrete repair is what we do every day, we fix the slab underneath first when it needs it.

Why coat your garage floor

A floor built for the way you use your garage

A full-flake coating covers the whole floor with layers of decorative flakes locked under a clear topcoat. It’s a professional system, not paint or a DIY kit.

Looks finished

Flakes cover the entire floor in a multi-color, speckled finish that hides dust, tire marks and small imperfections in the concrete.

Easy to clean

The coated surface is sealed, so oil drips, road salt and grime wipe up instead of soaking into bare concrete.

Built to take a beating

Professional coatings are far tougher than garage floor paint. They stand up to cars, tools and everyday wear.

Protects the concrete

The coating seals the surface against oil, road salt and chemicals that stain and wear down unprotected concrete.

Better grip

The flake texture gives the floor more grip underfoot than smooth, painted concrete.

Your choice of look

Flake blends range from subtle grays to bolder mixes. The right system depends on your slab and what you want, and we’ll walk you through the options at your estimate.

The Slab Science difference

We fix the concrete first

Most coating installers only coat. If the slab underneath has cracks or a section that has settled, those problems can come right back through a new coating.

Concrete repair is our core business. We know how to spot when the slab under a coating needs work, and we can fix it ourselves as part of the same project:

  • Crack repair. We grind out and seal cracks with the same process our repair customers already trust.
  • Leveling. If the slab has dropped at the garage door or along a joint, we lift it back with foam before we coat.
  • Proper prep. We diamond-grind the concrete so the coating has a clean, open surface to bond to.

You get one company, one estimate, and a floor that’s sound underneath before it looks good on top.

Garage floor leveling. A slab that had dropped 1-1/8 inches at the door, lifted back flush. Problems like this get fixed before we coat.
How it works

From estimate to parking on it

A typical two-car garage takes 1 to 3 days, depending on the floor’s condition. You can drive on it about 48 hours after we finish.

  1. Free assessment

We look at the whole slab: cracks, settling, moisture and any old coating, and help you pick a flake color.

  2. Repair & level

We repair cracks and lift sunken areas, only where the floor needs it.

  3. Diamond grinding

We grind the surface so the coating can bond to clean, open concrete.

  4. Coat & flake

We apply the base coat, broadcast flakes across the entire floor, and seal it with a clear topcoat.

  5. Walk-through

We go over the finished floor with you and confirm when it’s ready to drive on.

Questions

Garage coating FAQ

When can I get my garage floor coated?

We start booking coating projects in December 2026. Join the early list below and we’ll contact you as soon as we’re scheduling.

What kind of coating do you install?

A full-flake coating system using professional, contractor-grade products: a base coat, decorative flakes broadcast over the entire floor, and a clear topcoat. The exact system depends on your slab’s condition and the look you want.

How long does it take?

A typical two-car garage takes 1 to 3 days, depending on how much repair and prep the floor needs. You can drive on it about 48 hours after we finish.

How do you prepare the floor?

Mostly with diamond grinding, which opens up the surface so the coating bonds properly. If there are cracks or settled areas, we repair those first.

My floor is cracked or has a sunken section. Can it still be coated?

Yes, and that’s where we’re different. Crack repair and lifting sunken concrete are what we do every day, so we fix the slab first and the coating goes down on a sound, level floor.

How much will it cost?

It depends on the size of the garage, the condition of the concrete, and how much repair it needs. Estimates are free and come with no obligation, and financing is available.
